Isaac Baker is a Senior Imagery Analyst at Vigil Monitor. Isaac started his career in war crimes investigations at Physicians for Human Rights, working on detainee abuse cases during the Bush Administration. In 2010, he helped initiate the Satellite Sentinel Project while at the Harvard Humanitarian Initiative (HHI) and served as the Imagery Analysis manager until co-founding the Signal Program on Human Security and Technology at HHI, where he led the Remote Sensing investigations team. Baker’s specialty is in forensic imagery analysis of vulnerable populations in conflicts areas. His published and peer-reviewed work includes Harvard’s Imagery Interpretation Guides for humanitarian practitioners, the BAR method for damage assessments in remote sensing, and contributions to the Signal Code for ethical humanitarian information activities.
